November Loves

It is officially December, but before I can fully embrace the Christmas spirit and cool winter blues I have to give November a loving goodbye! Here’s a shoutout to my fave beauty, fashion, and media things from this past month!

ColourPop SuperShock Shadow in Crenshaw

Unfortunately this product has actually been discontinued. It was one of the shadows released during ColourPop’s KaePop collaboration with Karrueche Tran and is right up my ally! I’m already a fan of warm toned browns, and this one is warm enough to add some colour to my eyes, but close enough to my skintone that it looks pretty natural. If you’re a deeper skinned diva and want to try out my go-to fall eye look, definitely go for sweeping a mid toned warm brown all over the lid and blend it into the crease.

Rimmel London Kate Sculpting Kit

I posted a review of this product up in July, and was not full on board with it back then. They tried me with their blush that’s really just a dark highlight and the poor color selection, but I’ve since made it work. The highlight gives the face a truly natural glow and the blush does as well, provided I sweep it all over my face. I don’t like my skin to be super blinged out, so this definitely works for me. As long as I think of it as just a highlight and contour palette, it’s an A- product (top scores are reserved from brands who put in real effort to be inclusive).

Tony Moly Facial Cleanser

I love trying out Korean skincare products! I feel like they have a lot more brands that really bring it with the packaging and find ways to make taking care of my face into an exciting activity. This facewash smells like my dad’s cousin’s wife’s banana pudding and gets all the excess makeup off my face!

Wet Seal Jeggings

Until the start of November, I did not even know that Wetseal even existed anymore! Iam so glad I stopped by their site though, because it is great! I bought these jeggings during a 40% off employee discount sale, so they only cost me about $16! Plus, they are “cropped” so they have a 27″ inseam, which is exactly the length of the short sized jeans I normally buy. There’s a short girl life hack for ya’ll!

White Oversized Cardigan

When I don’t want to break the bank, I like to shop my closet. I went home for Thanksgiving break and had a great time rediscovering some of my old clothing items. I love this cardigan because it’s neutral for easy outfit combos, ultra-cozy, and has a very academic looking patch on it! It says “this is my first class of the day, so don’t expect me to be at my best” like nothing else in my wardobe!

Sara Hartman Satellite (EP)

I had never heard of Sara Hartman until I heard “Monster Lead Me Home” on a Google Play fall playlist. It is definitely a top autumn jam and amazing strolling music. While “Monster Lead Me Home” is definitely my fave track, the entire EP is definitely worth a listen or ten. She sounds like a mix of Ellie Goulding and Edward Sharp and the Magnetic Zeros. If you’re into that indie-folksy-electric blend, definitely check her EP out!

Tess Christine

I don’t think I’ve mentioned my love for YouTube fashion vlogger Tess Christine before, but I’ll say it now: I am obsessed with Tess! Her style balances trendy and eclectic pieces without being too over-the-top. I don’t really like my outfits to be overly flashy, and she’s definitely given me a lot of inspiration and ideas for dressing to stand out in the crowd in a way that matches my casual lifestyle.

What’s your November love?

Thanks for reading!

Until next time, have an awesome rest of your day and an amazing rest of your week!
