(Nearly) Free Clothes, Please – Fashion Haul

If I was a superhero, they’d call me the Super Shopper. Batman, Wonder Woman, and Captain America are all thrill seekers with a call for justice. I’m just like them, except I get a thrill from expanding my closet and aim to do justice to my wallet! Here are some of my biggest and most recent saves!

Cold Shoulder Blouse (H&M)

This past summer I went of a few more weekend trips than I’m used to, which meant more than a few opportunities to be caught off guard by events I had not packed to attend. That’s the main reason I own this ultra-trendy cold shoulder top. My friends and I made a last minute decision to have a night on the town and my Nirvana t-shirt just wasn’t doing it for me. I picked this up from the clearance rack at H&M for a smooth $5.

High Collar Blouse (Red Camel)

“What’s a Belk?” my friends from up north had asked me, and it was my responsibility to show them the way. I’d never been in a Belk before, but it’s essentially a Southern store for Southern belles, Southern mom’s, and people who like a whole lot of paisley. Not only is Belk typically out of my price range, but I’m not a belle, mom, or paisley fan so it typically isn’t the spot to be for me. Surprisingly, though, we managed to catch them during a Summer Super Sale (which is definitely not what they called it) and I managed to catch eyes with this conservative piece that all of my friends hate. I personally love it, because it reminds me of my favorite OG American Girl – Samantha – and was $16.

Romper (Red Camel)

Pro-tip: shop in groups of 3’s so you can do a buy 2, get 1 free sale and split the cost difference among friends. I learned this at the Belk Summer Super Sale (still not what they called it). As you may have guessed, my romper was the “1 free” piece, though I did chip in for 1/3 of the 2 full priced item’s total.

Jeans (Arizona)

I’m not sure if my blog photos or Instagram pics have fooled you or not, but I’m not actually 5’11”. In fact, I’m more like 4’11” and on the constant hunt for good jeans for my baby legs. That’s why I couldn’t pass up the 40% off sale on these jeans even though I was only in JC Penny to use their clean bathroom! Throw in the fact that they came in short sizes and your girl was SOLD like real estate.

Cardigan (H&M)

Introducing another $5 sale piece – this time from a random H&M in Jackson, Mississippi. I was hunt for a pair of cute sandals with a block heel that would probably be underutilized in my wardrobe and came across this instead. Thankfully, it was a thrifty and smart purchase, because I am Forever Cold.  It’s super warm, super cozy, and has super deep pockets. Literally the only downside was that I think it might be a men’s medium, instead of the women’s medium I was anticipating.

Sneakers (Mossimo)

This is the best deal of the bunch straight from my favorite store: Bargain Hunt! It’s like a TJ Maxx or Marshalls, but they primarily draw from stores and brands that are already pretty affordable and they exist in only 9 or 10 states. The kicker: the longer items are there, the more they take off the price (10% off per week). Combine the fact that these shoes had been there for a hot minute with their 50% off shoes sale and you get a pair of $2 sneakers. It’s not as great of a steal as the $70 purse I copped for $1.60, but it’ll do!

Where do you shop at to score the greatest deals?

Thanks for reading!

Until next time, have an awesome rest of your day and an amazing rest of your week!

  1. I like the high collared shirt too! The cardigan is my favourite in the bunch since I’m a fan of roomy/comfy pieces. I’ve been really liking uniqlo since their pieces are very simple and functional. The have pretty good sales too!

      1. Loooove love love clothing that is is versatile like that! No problem, I hope you’re able to find something you like! Absolutely love their basics, especially from their line of breathable fabrics (I can’t remember the name). They also have these cool jackets that are thin and foldable, but do a good job of keeping you warm!
