Spooky times are over ya’ll, but before I can move on to pretending Thanksgiving doesn’t exist and playing Mariah Carey’s Christmas classics on repeat, I’ve got to relive all the great October memories. My October highlights include: the premiere of Stranger Things 2, finding this bangin’ BBQ Chicken and Roasted Sweet Potato Bowl recipe, and reaching 300+ followers on the blog! Other great things are:
CoverGirl Vitalist Healthy Elixer Foundation
Foundations rarely ever impress me. Even the foundations I write positive reviews for are still fairly ‘blah’ to me. Nothing about them truly impresses me, which is why I’m absolutely shocked by how much I love this foundation! It’s a great color match (though the overall shade offerings are slacking), lasts all day, and has a beautiful, natural finish.
Maybelline Fit Me! Concealer
My favorite concealers come in basic tubes, with basic doe foot wands, and give your eyes a nice, slightly dewy look! This one ticks all those boxes! It isn’t a really full coverage concealer, but what I look for is something that can fade out most of the acne scarring that peaks through my foundation and won’t dry out my skin. This does exactly that!
Ulta Matte Lip Cream in Passionate + NYX Lip Liner in Plush Red
I’ve been obsessed with the classic winged liner + satin nude lid + flushed cheeks + matte red lip look ever since I saw PatrickStarrr do it on Ashley Tisdale in early October. This lip combo isn’t an exact replica of Ashley’s look, but it is my dream fall/winter lip so I’m pretty sure these products will continue to be well used during the next few months!
Claire’s Hoop Earrings
Back in middle school my best friend gave me a pair of hoop earrings, which my mom never let me wear. I picked this pair up on a whim over the summer so that I could live out my middle school dreams and am only just beginning to wear them more often. I feel so sassy when I have them on! Middle School me would be very impressed – especially since Claire’s was the only store that mattered when I was 12!
Harry Potter and the Sacred Text: Season 4
If you’ve followed this blog for a while, then me talking about this podcast isn’t new. What is new is that I’m actually reading along! I started rereading the series last year and am now on The Goblet of Fire. Because I’m in school, it’s a lot harder to find time to read, but I definitely can make space to do at least a chapter a week. Since the podcast goes chapter by chapter, this is the first time I get to listen while I read and it is rad!
What’s your October Love?
Thanks for reading!
Until next time, have an awesome rest of your day and an amazing rest of your week!
