This gal pays for Amazon Prime 2 day free shipping (with her student discount, of course) and she’s not afraid to use it! At first, I only bought practical things like books I was supposed to have read for class 3 days ago and camera equipment. Now, I’ve ventured out and have explored the world of Amazon Beauty! These are my buys!
LA Girl Pro Conceal
This was the product that started it all! Everyone online was raving about these concealers and how much I needed to get my hands on them. The only problem was getting my hands on them. They weren’t at any of my local beauty supply stores, and I refused to pay $8 shipping on a $5 product, so I bought them on Amazon! The prices vary by shade from about $2-$7, which means you may end up with a $3 discount or upcharge!
Elizavecca Milky Piggy Carbonated Bubble Mask
This product sealed the deal on my Amazon Beauty obsession and is the reason why I stay in their Korean Beauty section! I have a full review on this mask here, but I’ll tell you now that I am a believer. I was a bit afraid that I would receive something fake that would burn my skin (like that girl who got the fake K-beauty brow tint that took her brow off), but the only thing it burned was the confidence of the impurities in my skin!
Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse Foundation
I can’t actually tell you why I bought this, but I did and I liked it. It showed up covered in the same plastic that you’d get at the store and I had a pretty good experience using it, which you can read about here. It’s a little messier than all my other foundations, but it’s still a $7 winner!
TONYMOLY Banana Cream Foam Cleanser
I don’t know if you can tell, but I’m really into K-beauty products! This one was probably my best win. I’ve been using mine daily for slightly over a year and have only just now run out. It smells like banana pudding and didn’t make my face fall off (I really am always afraid these Amazon products will be a scam)! It’s currently $11 on Amazon, but it’s out of stock. Fortunately, it is in stock on non-Amazon websites, like Ulta and the TONYMOLY website.
Nature Republic Soothing & Moisture Aloe Vera Gel
I was having a dry skin panic when I bought this. I typically have bad luck with traditional moisturizers, which usually leave my skin overly greasy. When I saw this (and it’s $8 price tag), which looked like the opposite of everything I knew a moisturizer to be, I knew I had to buy it!
BESTOPE Makeup Brushes
I knew people bought brushes on Amazon, but I didn’t know people bought brushes on Amazon. Now I am one of those Amazon brush buying people. This photo only includes 3 of the 8 brushes I bought in this black and gold set, because these 1 are the only ones I brought while traveling. I do use most of the brushes daily, though. They were a good deal, but the wooden handles that always seem to want to ditch the rest of the brush truly reveal the $9 price tag!
So these were my Amazon Beauty buys! I’ve had positive experiences with all of my purchases, nothing burned my skin off, and everything was super cheap! This being said, while I love the convenience, I hate the fear of not knowing whether or not I’m receiving a slightly scammy product – especially with the K-Beauty stuff. It hasn’t replaced a good old trip to my local beauty supply store or Ulta, but it’s a great place to try out really interesting and random products!
Have you bought any Amazon Beauty products?
Thanks for reading!
Until next time, have an awesome rest of your day and an amazing rest of your week!
