March Loves

Though spring is the time of the year in which I’m generally the most lit for life, I’ve spent the beginning of it truly exhausted! March has not been my best month, but that’s alright, because it means things can only go up from here! Of course, there were still some truly shining pieces of March, which is what this post is all about. Let’s sit back and enjoy the simple things. Here are my March loves!

Lorac TANtalizer Baked Bronzer

This is an oldy, but a goodie in my collection. Most of the highlighters I own lean more on the golden side, which can sometimes look a bit too glowy on my skin – if not slightly frosty. When I’m looking for more of a “lit from within” type of glow, this is what I’ve been turning to. It was less than $10 for a travel sized version and has lasted me the past 4 years. I think it will be a monthly favorite of mine until I run out!

AOA Go Brow in Medium Brown

This was definitely an unexpected favorite, because I crave a simple brow routine. I like a one step kind of deal where I fill in my brows in 30 seconds or less and then hit the road, which is why I never anticipated actually enjoying a step 2, yet here I am! I originally bought this hoping I could use it to do a quick fill on my most natural days, but I don’t have enough brow hair for that to work. What it is good for is making the actual hairs on my brows stand out, so they’ve always got some extra dimension!

Tender” + “All Nighter” = Pure Joy

It’s honestly no surprise that combining two of my favorite lipstick formulas into a new lipstick lead to impressive results. I’ve made a few posts chronicling my love for the Covergirl Melting Pout Matte Lipstick in “All Nighter” and I’m a long time fan of the Ulta Matte Lip Cream in “Tender.” The only problem is that Tender is a shade that only looks good on me when mixed with something else. Perfect solution: put the two together! It’s a great look and the results can be seen in this picture I recently posted on Insta!

Essie Nail Polish in “Adore-A-Ball”

This polish took me for a loop when I first bought it, because it’s very thin and super sheer! I thought I had bought from a bad batch, but it turns out that this really is the formula. It’s meant to be great for a light dash of color and french manicures. I don’t really mess around with french tips, but the former option is good for me! I think the light wash of nude pink is a subtle way to embrace the spring season!

This Accessory Combo

I have this problem where I’m aesthetically attracted to wrist wear, but can’t really stand wearing it in the long haul. Because of that, when I dabble, I have to dabble with small pieces that won’t get in my way. I’ve particularly been enjoying this combination of my dainty geometric bracelet from Forever 21 and this small watch that comes in clutch on campus since so many of the classroom clocks are broken!

DC Animated Movie Universe (or whatever the kids are calling it)

I remember watching Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox about a year ago and thinking, “Wow, what an amazing film,” but my full on marathoning just started. So far my faves are The Flashpoint Paradox and Justice League vs. Teen Titans (which will give you super awesome nostalgia vibes if you were also obsessed with the animated series Teen Titans of the early 2000s). I occasionally find some of the voice acting to be a bit off and flat, which is a problem that I have with most films of this genre, but they’re definitely still worth watching, especially if you’re a super hero fan! Plus, they are high-key better than most of the DCEU movies!

Until next time, have an awesome rest of your day and an amazing rest of your week!
