Pack Like a Pro! What’s in My Travel Makeup Bag

I think I’m the best/worst makeup packer on the planet. I’m great at picking out items that fulill multiple purposes (e.g. a bronzer that I’ll also use as my everyday eyeshadow). The problem is that it’s always all for nothing! When I don’t pack makeup, suddenly I wish I had it and when I do pack it I have no need for it. There’s not really a solution to this problem, so I always pack it no matter what, which is how we’ve got to this post! So today, friends, I’m showing off my boss packing skills that exist for no reason at all!

The Full Shebang

I got this donut makeup pouch from Miss A for the low, low price of $1 (see my full haul here) and really like it! It’s a little smaller than what I’m used to which meant that there was no space for my Profusion Glam Face Makeup Case, but there was no way I was going to let that stop me from bringing it! It’s really just a smart item to bring with you anywhere, because it has the ability to do about 70% of my full face makeup routine!

The Face

As you can see, I really like products that do many things, which is why had to throw in my Rimmel London Kate Sculpting Kit. Unfortunately, the only thing I regularly use from it is the bronzer, because I prefer a matte blush and a more golden highlight, but it still comes in clutch because every time I travel I always end up doing someone else’s makeup as well as my own! I also threw in primer, concealer, and my tried and true Covergirl Vitalist Healthy Elixer Foundation.

The Eyes

I really like to travel with simple eye products that get the job done in 3 minutes or less. On a normal day, I prefer a cream brow product, but brow pencils, like the AOA Scultping Brow Pencil, are way more convenient when traveling. I packed my trusty mascara and my Lorac Pro Matte Palette, which is the smallest palette I own.

The Lips

I’m not really a “lipstick person,” which is why I packed two options and just called it a day. I have my Ulta Matte Lip Cream in Courageous, which is almost empty (woe is me!) for a quick everyday lip. Then I also threw in my go-to glam lip (and favorite blush of the moment), Covergirl’s Melting Pout Matte Liquid Lipstick in All Nighter.
