Fun fact: Autumn is my favorite season! It’s cold, but not so cold that my fingers feel like they’re going to drop off. Starbucks ups their drink game. Also, most of the tops in my wardrobe are sweaters, so fall is the time when my style is at it’s peak! I also love coming across some nice fall themed content, such as Little Miss Mel‘s post Why I Love Autumn & My Bucket List. I was so inspired by her autumnal vibes that I decided to craft an autumn bucket list of my own to share with you all!
Rewatch the Harry Potter Movies
I never really thought of this as a uniquely fall thing, but after reading Mel’s list, I realized that it is a totally autumn ready event. Picture this: It’s a rainy autumn day and you’re on your couch snuggled up under your fluffiest blanket. You make a cup of your spiciest tea and turn on The Sorcerer’s Stone. Then you watch The Chamber of Secrets, fall asleep halfway through because that movie is way too long, and wake up in time to see Gilderoy Lockhart expose his scamming ways. Sounds like a great day to me!
Buy 3 More Sweaters
Believe me when I say, a significant portion of my wardrobe is made up of just sweaters. In fact, when I moved into my new apartment I had to pack a separate box solely dedicated to sweaters. This fall I want to do more sweater hunting and add in some unique finds!
Go to the Farmers Market
I used to go to the farmers market every week with my friends, but I haven’t had the opportunity to my one now that grad school has taken over my life! I have been doing some research to find others farmers markets around my city and I’m ready to check them out! That being said, the real question is, “Is my wallet ready?”
Try 3 New Flavors of Tea
I am a tea enthusiast throughout the year, but I up the ante in fall. During these chilly months, I usually drink 1-2 cups a day, but it’s almost always some type of black tea. This fall I want to find some new teas I like. I’m currently trying out (and loving) Celestial Seasoning’s Peppermint Tea!
Make My Room Look More “Fall”
I love fall decor, but I hate paying money for things. My goal is to find out how to spruce up my bedroom (and possibly my whole apartment) on a budget! I’m a crafty lady, so I feel like I can put something nice together. Plus, I have some fake scented pine cones I got to jazz up my campus apartment 2 years ago and they still have that festive smell!
Roast My Own Pumpkin Seeds
Back in elementary school I, for whatever reason, made pumpkin seeds in class (we also churned our own butter – the benefits of rural living). I want to bring that moment in my youth back! I don’t remember it being too hard, so I’m willing to try making my own snacks again! Expect a blog post about it regardless of if it ends up being a flop or not!
What’s on your autumn bucket list?
Thanks for reading!
Until next time, have an awesome rest of your day and an amazing rest of your week!
