Last year I introduced you all to my Christmas playlist! I haven’t given up on those songs, but I want to add to the Christmas flavors. These are my new and improved top Christmas bops!
Sweater Weather – Pentatonix
I feel like it’s not a Liv-approved Christmas playlist without some Pentatonix on it! Their latest Christmas album includes an amazing cover of “Sweater Weather,” which I never had viewed as festive song before this. It’s truly a bop and my love for it is renewed.
Little Drummer Boy – Jennifer Nettles ft. Idina Menzel
Previously, I thought that Little Drummer Boy couldn’t get better than Justin Bieber’s imagining of it. Then I heard this version, which is a lot more similar to what I’d expect the song to sound like, but still pretty amazing. The vocals are on point, as can be expected from any song including Idina Menzel, and the subtle country vibes always have me moving. And I don’t even like country music like that!
Wit It This Christmas – Ariana Grande
If you’ve read any of the three hundred “bake with me” posts I’ve made, then you know that this is the season where my oven gets a workout! As such, I just have to love a song that includes the line “Are you down for some of these milk and cookies?” Like, yes, Ariana! I’m always ready for milk and cookies!
Sleigh Ride – TLC
This song is a Christmas classic in my family! It’s “Sleigh Ride” like you’ve never heard before (unless you also have a tradition of living for this song). If you’re a fan of 90’s nostalgia, then you may as well just make a Christmas playlist that is literally just this song on repeat.
What Christmas Means to Me – Stevie Wonder
While I consider TLC’s “Sleigh Ride” to be a Christmas classic, this is more of a contemporary Christmas hit! Every time I listen to it, I like to imagine that I’m starring in my own Freeform original Christmas movie romcom. It’s literally the perfect montage music!
Mary, Did You Know? – Pentatonix
This post ends the same way that it began: with a bop from Pentatonix. If you follow me on Instagram and watch my Instagram stories, you would know that “Mary, Did You Know?” is my favorite Christmas tune with overtly religious messages. Like, yes, I know that “Silent Night” is a fan favorite, but I think it’s the favorite who just haven’t heard “Mary, Did You Know?” sang by this group (or by anyone really)!
What’s your top Christmas bop?
Thanks for reading!
Until next time, have an awesome rest of your day and an amazing rest of your week!
