Good evening, y’all! If you’ve been following along this blogmas season, then you already know about my obsession with terrible Christmas content. My obsession mainly comes from my love for Christmas movies that really make me smile – whether it be because it’s really good or because it’s so bad, it’s good! Here are the films that have brought a smile to my face, all collected into my own holiday watchlist!
Pride, Prejudice, and Mistletoe

If you saw my Holiday Watchlist from last year, then you know that Lacey Chabert’s Hallmark Christmas movies have a special place in my heart! This film isn’t the most memorable, but it’s great to turn on while knitting and eating cookies! It’s based on a book of the same name (though based on the book’s summary, this seems to be a very liberal adaptation) so if you end up loving it, the universe doesn’t have to end!
The Christmas Chronicles

In general, all of the Netflix Christmas movies that I’ve seen have reminded me of Hallmark and Freeform original content, so I wasn’t expecting anything super amazing with this film! That being said, this movie is actually great in the same way that The Santa Clause is (okay, so it’s not 100% as amazing The Santa Clause – but it’s up there)! Follow two youths who ruin Christmas, save Christmas, become besties with Santa, and then bring me to literal tears with fuzzy feelings!
The Santa Clause

Woo! What a film! When I think of childhood classic Christmas films that I never get tired of, this movie always comes to mind first! I am such a sucker for movies where kids get better relationships with their parents and nothing makes you think your dad is the cool dad, quite like your dad becoming Santa! It’s amazing! Give it a watch!
The Princess Switch

Remember when I said that I’m used to watching Netflix Christmas content that reads very Hallmark and Freeform? Yeah, this is one of those! In this film, Vanessa Hudgens pulls a Parent Trap with an actual princess in a fictional baking competition that makes no sense in a fictional country that also makes no sense. It’s good and bad??? I recommend watching it with friends, cocoa, and cookies and then listening to this Who? Weekly podcast episode recap!
Nailed It! Holiday!

Alright, so this isn’t a movie, but it might as well be! If you’ve never seen Nailed It!, it’s a Netflix original series where amateur bakers compete to make professional level cakes. As you can expect, the results are not pretty! They came back to deliver a few special holiday episodes and it’s so amazing! If the holiday episodes of GBB are too intense for you, then give this a try! The judges are so nice and happy and everyone is really just there for a good time (and the chance to win $10k)!
What’s on your watchlist?
Thanks for reading!
Until next time, have an awesome rest of your day and an amazing rest of your week!
