Getting Back to My Hobbies

Hey, y’all! I feel like I’m always talking about all of the random ways that graduate school has wrecked my life. And trust me, it really has. Suddenly, my free time was gone, my days were super long, I was tired all of the time, and I also started graying. Thankfully, things are starting to calm down with my program and I’m beginning to go back to doing the things that make me happy! So please enjoy this wholesome post about all of the things I’ve been doing lately that bring me joy!

Watching Teen Wolf

I’ve mentioned this on the blog a few times, but I am obsessed with Teen Wolf. I’ve watched the series about 3 times now and I never seem to get tired of it! I’m always discovering something new to love every time I watch it. It’s not perfect by any means, but I love it none the less!

Knitting

Hi, my name is Liv and I am the world’s slowest knitter! I mainly knit infinity and blanket scarves and it usually takes about 6 months to a year for me to make one. Thankfully, I recently found out that if you use thicker needles and thicker yarn, you can knit faster, so my life my luck might be on the up and up!

Reading

When I was a kid, I was a reading enthusiast! I used to go to the library with my dad and brother every single week and check out as many books as possible! Then I just stopped reading books. Don’t get me wrong! I still love reading, but it’s really difficult for me to commit to a whole novel. I’ve recently been picking out books that I that I’m super interested in and am slowly – very slowly – making my way through them.

What brings you joy?

Thanks for reading!

Until next time, have an awesome rest of your day and an amazing rest of your week!

  1. I LOVE Teen Wolf. My sister and i started watching it together at a very dark time (depression) and it’s one of my favourite comforts. Currently, what’s making me happy is actually making an effort to read on my commute as much as possible.
