Hey, y’all! It is the wonderful month of April! Well, it’s as wonderful as it can be with all of the wildness going on in the world. But, for this moment, the wildest thing in my life is going to be all of the things that I fell wildly in love with during the month of March. Like, I’m going to be honest: I had a lot of time on my hands in March and I used it to try out some new things and some new vibes and I was kind of living??? Keep reading, and you’ll find out exactly what I mean. Here are my March loves.
Illumine Lab Illuminating Rosehip Oil + Vitamin C Face Oil
So at some point in late February/early March (forgive me, my brain is gone) I decided to go a week without makeup and really dig into my skincare. I even went to Marshall’s and bought all of these skincare products that I had never heard of. Cons: the eye serum I got gave me pink eye. Pros: I discovered this beautiful face oil.
Now, I may not have included this in my 2020 To-Do List, but one of my major goals for this year is to be less crusty and dusty. I have been faithfully moisturizing my face for a while now, but it was time to level up. And level up I did, because I am glowing!!! Basically, moisturizers either add or attract moisture to the skin, but of course, those powers fade throughout the day. A face oil, like this one, works to lock in the power of your moisturizer so you can stay fresh and dewy all day long!
Stila Huge Extreme Lash Mascara
After I got pink eye, all of my favorite mascaras had been banished to the mighty depths of my trashcan. My favorite place to get new mascaras from is TJ Maxx, because you can try out a high end product for under $10. That’s how I found this baby! I actually just wanted a single mascara, but it came in a little Stila mini set along with a lip gloss and travel sized eyeliner pen. Though all of the products were great, this was definitely the stand out for me!
I’m a pretty simple gal when it comes to mascara. I prefer a thicc wand and a dry, buildable formula and this pretty much does that. It gives me long juicy lashes with about 2 coats, but if I’m feeling wild I can definitely keep going without any consequences. Plus, the amount of product will actually match the shelf life of the product after opening, because it is a tiny travel size tiem!
Sailor Moon Hoodie from Kero and Luna
My social isolation aesthetic is basically cute and comfy, which is all new for me because my wardrobe is known for having zero chill. Like, I don’t always wear the boldest, trendiest clothes, but I definitely do not have the chillest wardrobe. I’ve bought exactly one pair of sweatpants in the past 10 years and I fully subscribe to the cult of real pants. Like, even as I type this from bed, I’m wearing the same trousers that I normally wear to work. I don’t even go to work anymore!
So this all goes to say that I don’t actively seek out hoodies and t-shirts, because I don’t really wear them. But somehow, Kero and Luna ended up in my Etsy recommendations and turned me into a whole new woman. From the moment I saw their Sailor Moon print hoodie, I knew that I would have to own. Cute and nostalgic??? Sign me up! It truly speaks to all of my high school pastel kawaii aesthetic goals and I am living! I never saw this coming, but here I am: a pastel princess who is ready to give Kero and Luna all the coin!
Pastel Pink Purse from A New Day
I bought this purse last year when I was planning to up my style game. For the past 4 or 5 years I’ve always bought the same type of bag: black and full of pockets. I like the ease of styling, the ease of space, and the timelessness of those pieces. But when I saw this at the Bargain Hunt, I knew it was time to try something fresh and new.
Now, I’m going to be honest. I slept on this purse forever. It stayed in my closet for months and only came out every once in a blue moon, but now I’ve fully embraced the pink life! Back when my brain was working at only 60% capacity, I was under the impression that the boldness of this bag made it too hard to style. Now that my brain is finally at 120%, I’ve realized that pastel pink is basically a neutral color so this purse goes with almost everything. Don’t believe me? Check my Instagram. The proof is in the puddin’!
Hi. I’m Liv and all of this social isolation has finally allowed me to flourish as a member of BTS ARMY. Like, I’ve kind of heard of BTS off and on and have been a huge fan of “Boy with Luv” since the day it dropped, but I never properly got into them. I had seen them on some clips from online and I even watched the Blood, Sweat, and Tears music video at some point, but it never clicked. Then, I suddenly was at home with nothing to do except for watch their carpool karoake and my life changed forever.
I’m still relatively new to BTS, but I think the fact that I now own an RJ sleeping mask tells you all that you need to know. Like, I just don’t know how I slept on them for so long??? They have a great come up story, great music, a powerful message, and a variety show. They’re pretty much the soundtrack to my social isolation at this point!
What brought you joy in March?
Thanks for reading!
Until next time, have an awesome rest of your day and an amazing rest of your week!
